Simple Protein Pancakes:

  • 1 Scoop Whey (flavor of choice, I used Vanilla)
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 Cup Oats
  • 1/2 Large Banana (substitutions below)
  • 1 TB Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon (optional)


Put all ingredients into blender or magic bullet and blend until smooth. Allow the batter to set for about 5 minutes. Heat up a skillet or pan and spray with non-stick spray. Pour batter onto skillet (batter makes 2-3 normal sized pancakes). Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles appear. Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked fully.

I’m super sick.  And all I want is to be better so I can get back into everything.  I have a serious yoga craving, my body doesn’t feel the same and my eating is all over the place since my throat hurts so much.  I’m a little limited to food.  I’m only home for 5 more days, so I’m hoping I’ll get better asap.  Worst timing ever.

But a week from now I’ll be in Hong Kong with my man and parents, which I’m super excited about.  Just need to get rid of this awful virus, I can’t stand plane travel while sick, my ears are sensitive enough.

Sorry if I’m rambling, I really don’t make much sense the last few days.

Especially when you’re in the process of getting healthy or losing weight going out to eat can be stressful and I hope these guides show you that it doesn’t have to be! Going out  doesn’t mean you have to throw away being healthy and it doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself. You can eat in moderation, especially if you use some of these ideas, so pick something you’ll enjoy but that won’t go overboard and then relax and have fun with your friends!
